Family Leave
Both the Federal Family Care and Medical Leave Act, effective August 5, 1993 and the revised California Family and Medical Leave Act, effective October 4, 1993, require employers with 50 or more employees to grant request by any employee with at least one year of continuous service to take up to 12 weeks in a 12 month period for family care responsibilities and for the employee’s own serious medical condition, This is addressed in the Bahadourian Protections, Inc.
